The Evolving Lady Justice
The original logo, introduced in 2013 by the International Organization of Asian Crime Investigators and Specialists, reimagined the traditional symbol of justice through a decolonized and culturally inclusive lens. Depicted in a saree and holding the sword and scales of justice, Lady Justice represented fairness, truth, and global diversity.

In 2018, Lady Justice removed her blindfold to symbolize a new philosophy:

Justice is not blind — justice sees everyone equally.

Lady Justice is depicted without a blindfold to symbolize clear vision, truth, and integrity—the ability to see and judge matters openly and fairly. In her left hand, she holds the sword of law representing authority, protection, courage and the enforcement of laws. In her right hand, she raises the scales of justice, symbolizing balance, equality, fairness and impartial judgment under the law.

Guardians of Justice
The Guardians of Justice embody the organization’s values and mission. The blue dragon symbolizes law enforcement, honor, loyalty, vigilance, strength, and protection of the community. The surrounding laurel wreath signifies victory, excellence, and achievement, while the stars and flags reflect unity, guidance, and global connection. The Hawaiian phrase “N? Kia?i o ka Pono” translates to “Guardians of Justice,” reinforcing a dedication to justice, service, and lawful protection—locally in Honolulu, Hawai?i, and worldwide.

The Guardians of Justice are the living extension of Lady Justice—investigators, legal professionals, advocates, and community leaders who uphold fairness, truth, and accountability.

The Five Guardians

·        The Mediator — Promotes balance and reconciliation.

·        The Defender — Protects rights and enforces accountability.

·        The Advocate — Amplifies marginalized voices.

·        The Seeker — Investigates and uncovers truth.

Together, they symbolize a global justice system that is conscious, inclusive, and driven by collective responsibility.

At the heart of the emblem, the shared symbolism and language reinforce a commitment to justice that is visible, principled, and grounded in service.
